This error message is typically displayed when there is an issue with the Outlook Plugin configuration file. To resolve, take the steps outlined below to generate a clean configuration file:
- Close the Outlook application if running.
- Double check the Windows Task Manager to ensure all Outlook.exe processes are terminated.
- Remove the SendSafely folder from the user's profile. To do this, browse to the “%AppData%” folder in Windows Explorer, and delete the SendSafely folder.
- Re-launch Outlook. This will reset the plugin preferences file, and a new clean configuration file will be generated when Outlook is re-launched.
NOTE: The SendSafely plug-in will prompt you to re-configure your credentials after re-launching Outlook.
