Administrators can delegate Dropzone management to any registered user, granting authorized users the ability to administer Dropzones owned by others without having to elevate the user's roles to full Administrator access.
Dropzone Management includes three specific permissions that can be granted to users independently or together as a group via Enterprise Security Groups.
For a user to be able to mange a Dropzone, they must both be a member of a Security Group with those permissions AND be a recipient on that Dropzone. Security Group members are not able to manage Dropzones on which they are NOT recipients.
The available Dropzone Management permissions are as follows:
1. Manage the Dropzone Profile
Users with this permission can access the Profile of Dropzones owned by others, and edit configuration settings and recipient lists.
The Dropzone link in the menu header displays all the Dropzones a user has management access to.
2. Manage the status of individual Dropzone items
Users with this permission are granted access to the status page for each individual Dropzone package. From here they can edit the package expiration, privacy settings, and recipient list as well as delete the package.
3. Bypass the Restrict Download & Print setting
Users with this permission have the ability to download and print items that are otherwise restricted for all other Dropzone recipients.
The above Dropzone management permissions are granted via Enterprise Security Groups, available on the Enterprise Console.
Security Groups are configured by the SendSafely support team specifically for each customer. Each Security Group can be customized to include, one, two, or all three of the above permissions. To request a Security Group, please contact support@sendsafely.com.
Once a Security Group has been created, customers can add and remove members from the Enterprise Console. Up to 50 members at a time can be added in a comma separated list. Users can belong to multiple Security Groups at a time.
